Spectra PhotoSync IRD® Window Film

Spectra PhotoSync IRD® is the most advanced window tint available on the market, providing drivers and passengers the ultimate protection from harmful UV rays, solar radiation and excess heat in our tropical climate.

With 99.5% UV (ultraviolet) rejection and IRR (infrared radiation rejection) of up to 99%, Spectra PhotoSync IRD®’s patent-pending infrared radiation dispersion technology also targets specific IRR up to a wavelength of 2200nm which no other window film manufacturer has managed to achieve whilst simultaneously reducing energy consumption by running on lower air-conditioning outputs to produce cooler overall cabin temperatures.

More importantly, a TSER (total solar energy rejection) of up to 81% is achieved by Spectra PhotoSync IRD®. TSER measures actual, real-world heat energy radiated through a vehicle from the outside which includes a combination of UV rays, visible light and IR rays. This percentage of TSER is the highest recorded heat-blocking rate on the market to date.

Spectra PhotoSync IRD® maintains maximum performance with virtually zero wireless signal interference, including RFID, GPS, mobile phone signals, FM radio, etc. Visibility and optical clarity also remain uncompromised even in darker privacy shades.

Why choose Spectra PhotoSync IRD®?

SPH Specifications Table

Unrivalled Clarity - Spectra Photosync IRD® has incredible sharpness and clarity allowing maximum visibility during your drives, day or night.

Maximum Performance - Utilizing the latest Nano-IR technology, Spectra PhotoSync IRD® was developed to provide the perfect balance between high solar radiation rejection and visibility achieving an Infrared Radiation Rejection (IRR) of up to 99% from 950nm - 2200nm and a Total Solar Energy Rejection (TSER) of up to 81%. No other window film comes close!

Zero Interference - Spectra PhotoSync IRD® window film contains cutting-edge material development that recognizes our daily reliance on wireless transmission and ensures no transmission interference for your mobile devices that are often the case with other window films. Experience interruption-free use for mobile phone transmission/GPS signals, FM radio frequencies, Bluetooth and keyless entry systems!

UV Protection - Spectra PhotoSync IRD® rejects 99.5% of ultraviolet rays (both UVA and UVB), which means occupants and the vehicle’s upholstery are protected from harmful UV rays.

Peace Of Mind - Spectra PhotoSync IRD® comes with a limited lifetime warranty from manufacturing defects and performance degradation.

Why is TSER so important?

TSER (total solar energy rejected) is a real-world measurement which indicates how much heat is blocked by your window tint. It is comprised of Infrared radiation (IR), Ultraviolet rays (UV) and visible light (VL). A higher TSER percentage would produce a cooler car cabin temperature.

Spectra PhotoSync IRD® currently has the highest recorded heat-rejection in the market, up to a TSER of 81%. The technology behind the engineering of Spectra PhotoSync IRD® allows it to consistently reject heat at the same rate without a decrease in performance.

Many window tints claim to have 99% IRR. How is Spectra PhotoSync IRD® different?

Most films in the industry that claim a high IRR, do not specify at which wavelength the IRR is tested. Very often, they only present a high IRR but the performance drops after a wavelength of 1000nm, compared to our films that have consistent performance up to 2200nm. This is why many products display a high IRR rate (i.e. 99%), but a low overall TSER (i.e. 39%).

How is Spectra PhotoSync’s heat-blocking much higher than other window tints?

Our consistently high IRR performance is achieved through the patent-pending; Infrared Radiation Dispersion (IRD) technology. With this technology, the total solar heat rejected (TSER) is dispersed outside of the window tint, significantly reducing heat from entering the windows. This cutting-edge technology is the industry’s first and produces results that surpass all other known window tint products.

How is Spectra PhotoSync IRD® different from other ceramic tints on the market?

Spectra PhotoSync IRD® is NOT a ceramic product. Many products on the market use ceramic-based components with some metallics to achieve heat rejection, however the heat-rejection rate will fluctuate drastically (up to 20%) and performance drops after only 1000nm wavelengths of heat.

Spectra PhotoSync IRD®, on the other hand, is engineered through sputter-coating and a patent-pending technology known as Infrared Radiation Dispersion (IRD) which allows for high heat-rejection consistently up to 2200nm wavelengths with only 3% - 4% fluctuations. This makes our product far superior in quality compared to commercial ceramic tint products in the market.

How long does Spectra PhotoSync IRD® last?

Spectra PhotoSync IRD® comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty against fading, peeling, bubbling, purpling and performance degradation (an industry-first). Terms and conditions apply.

What is the difference between Spectra PhotoSync IRD® and CeraLuxe IRD®

Spectra PhotoSync IRD® is engineered for even higher heat-rejection than CeraLuxe IRD®. It is designed for the most demanding clients that require nothing less than the best performance window tint in the world.

What shades are available for Spectra PhotoSync IRD®?

- Spectra PhotoSync IRD® comes in the following series: SPH70, SPH55, SPH45, SPH30, SPH15(latest)

How does Spectra PhotoSync IRD® differ from ceramic window film?

- Ceramic window film is currently considered a mid-grade product. The IRD technology by Prestige Film Technologies has raised the bar for the window film industry and brought about Nano-Technology to the forefront of heat blocking clear film. If you are seeking the best heat rejection and clarity, then it will be Spectra PhotoSync IRD®.

What is Infrared?

- The solar spectrum consist of visible light (VL), infrared (IR), and ultraviolet rays (UV). IR accounts for slightly more than 53% of this spectrum, with 3% going to UV and 44% for VL. Spectra PhotoSync IRD® will reject up to 99% of IR compared to conventional tint that only rejects 20% - 39%. Even for top ceramic films, they would only reject 65% - 80% of IR. This is far below the IR ratings of Spectra PhotoSync IRD®.

What is the film’s warranty?

- Spectra PhotoSync IRD® comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturer defects and performance degradation.
